Controlling NEON on and offYou can use the Basic Stamp to control a solid state relay which will then switch the NEON or you can use limit switches that control the activation of the solid state relay.Neon is controlled by switching the primary side of the transformers - never the high voltage side. Any Solid State Relay will do, they can be directly hooked up to Stamp pins (no resistor needed). For inductive loads use a relay that is rated for at least double the current of the load and double the operating voltage. EG. for a 3 Amp neon transformer at 120V use a 10Amp relay rated for 240VAC.They are about 2X3X1" with screw terminals on 4 corners and available from any surplus source for $5-10.00.On the East Coast you can order from: MPJA Online
